VAC-TEST is a System that determines easily and safely the porosity-potential of the liquid metal with a high-quality documentation of the results. This is reached by the production and analysis of DENSITY samples. The automatic evaluation of the DENSITY-INDEX from these samples gives precise and reproducible information about gas content, oxides and inclusions.

After input the samples identification data and filling the test mould, the cooling curve is recorded taking up to 60 measurements per second. In this time the temperature curve is simultaneously shown on the monitor. By reaching the lower temperature limit the "interpreter" begins to analyse the effects of the alloying elements (e.g. Si, Mg, Fe, Cu etc.) automatically.

This current influence of the alloying elements is the basis to determine the existing effect of the modifying elements, i.e. the condition of grain refinement and modification. This procedure provides a realistic Thermo - ANALYSIS since it is automatically analysed and shows the current condition of the melt.

Melt-Clean Systems are used for cleaning the melt of aluminium alloys, i.e. for removing oxides and to regulate the hydrogen content wich means to reduce the potential of porosity, for producing casting parts nearly without pores. To reach this, inertgas will flow through a rotor into the melt, the gas hand out very fine and so the contermination is solved out of melt. By the fine gas vesicles the melt remains in a state of rest.
Melt-Clean Systems can be adapted to the local needs / furnace and manufactured customized.
